Optional attachment — ducting the BD2500
The Dri-Eaz Duct Kit (F530) converts the BD2500 into a ductable dehumidifier. It fits a 10 inch (254 mm) duct ring to the process air outlet, so lay-flat ducting can be attached and the warm, dry air delivered into a closed room, a wall cavity, a subfloor or a piece of specialty drying equipment. It installs in about a minute with a Phillips screwdriver.
The kit includes two 3 m lengths of ducting. For longer runs the matching roll is the Phoenix Layflat Ducting 250 mm x 75 m — the 355 mm and 300 mm flat-width rolls are smaller than the duct ring and will not fit.
Note that the kit ducts the discharge only. The BD2500 still draws its process air from the space it is standing in, so machine placement still decides what is being dried.
