Prochem

Prochem equipment stays in service a long time, and most of what an operator needs from the brand after purchase is a small number of consumable and rebuild parts.

This is that shortlist: the spotter, the valve kit and the strainers that protect the solution side.

The range covers Prochem Citrus Gel spotter in a 946 ml quart; the Prochem valve rebuild kit PP66-808169; and acorn strainers in 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch.

How to choose

Rebuild the valve before replacing it. The PP66-808169 kit addresses the usual causes of a weeping or spongy valve at a fraction of a replacement. Order by the kit number, not by the machine name.

Gel spotters stay where you put them. Citrus Gel holds position on upholstery, stair risers and vertical surfaces where a liquid runs off before it has had dwell time.

Strainers are the cheapest jet protection there is. An acorn strainer costs a fraction of a set of jets and stops most of what damages them. Match the thread size — 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch are not interchangeable.

Solvent spotters need dwell, not agitation. Rushing a citrus gel is the usual reason it appears not to work.
