Spraying Systems
Every jet on a wand is a Spraying Systems part number, and the number tells you exactly what it does. Once you can read it, choosing a jet stops being guesswork and becomes a two-second decision.
CCW carries the VeeJet flat spray range in brass and stainless, in 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch, across the angles and flow rates used in carpet cleaning and hard surface work.
Stock includes 8001, 8002, 8004, 8005 and 8006; 9501, 9502 and 95015; 11001, 110015, 11002 and 11003; and the MEG 0502 — in brass and in stainless, in both thread sizes.
How to read a VeeJet number
The leading digits are the spray angle in degrees. An 8002 sprays at 80 degrees; an 11002 sprays at 110. Wider fans cover more per pass; narrower fans hit harder over a smaller area.
The remaining digits are the flow rate in US gallons per minute at 40 psi, with the decimal point implied. So 8002 is 0.2 gpm at 40 psi, 8004 is 0.4, and 11003 is 0.3. Two jets with the same trailing digits flow the same and differ only in fan width.
Flow rises with the square root of pressure, not in proportion to it. Doubling the pressure does not double the flow. That is why simply winding a machine up does not lay down the solution volume people expect.
The fan widens as pressure rises. A nominal 110 degree jet is closer to 98 degrees at 20 psi and around 120 at 80 psi. If your overlap pattern has changed after a pump repair, this is usually why.
Choosing
Brass or stainless. Brass is the standard fit and the lower cost. Stainless holds its pattern considerably longer and resists acidic and oxidising chemistry — worth it where jets are a recurring spend.
Replace jets as a set. One worn jet in a four-jet wand puts more solution through one part of the pass than the others, and the result looks like a wand problem.
