Containment & Ducting Systems
Containment is what separates a controlled job from a contaminated building. Whether the work is mould remediation, a meth decontamination or a straightforward water loss in an occupied office, the barrier decides whether spores, dust and odour stay in the work area or end up through the rest of the property.
A barrier is only as good as its seal. Poles that hold pressure, zippers that survive daily use, and rails that seal against a textured ceiling are the difference between containment that holds under negative pressure and sheeting that billows.
The range covers the ZipWall system in depth — spring-loaded poles and grip disks, 4-pole and room kits, standard and premium zippers, the ZipDoor, tight-seal foam rails with T-clips, side-seal clamps, non-skid head plates and spares — alongside containment sheeting, layflat ducting in 300 mm for 200 mm outlets, dehumidifier duct kits, Phoenix containment weights and the Fiberlock Klean Pop decontamination shower.
How to choose
Check pole range against your worst ceiling, not your average one. A pole at the very top of its extension holds less pressure than one mid-range, and commercial ceilings vary more than people expect.
Seal the perimeter, not just the span. Poles and sheeting handle the middle. Foam rails, side-seal clamps and T-clips handle the edges where the barrier meets ceiling and wall — and that is where containment usually fails.
Match duct diameter to the outlet. A 300 mm layflat duct fits a 200 mm outlet; buying to the nominal machine size rather than the duct's stated fitment is a common and avoidable mistake. Run lengths matter too — every metre and every bend costs static pressure.
Zippers are a consumable on a busy job. If the barrier is going to be opened repeatedly, premium zippers and a proper ZipDoor pay for themselves in a single week rather than being re-taped daily.
Decontamination work has its own requirements. Meth and mould jobs may call for a shower unit, a dedicated entry sequence and documented negative pressure. Plan the entry, not just the wall.
