VacAway is a spotting-led range, and spotting is where a cleaner's reputation is actually made. Customers forgive an average general clean. They remember the red stain that came out and the one that did not.

The range is deliberately narrow — a handful of products that each do one difficult job properly, rather than a broad line of near-duplicates.

It covers Red Vanish in 946 ml and 3.78 litre with a dedicated Red Vanish Wool in 946 ml; Hel-Gel ORANGE gel spotter 946 ml; Hot Knife X-Treme 3.78 litre; Spot N Boost in 946 ml and 3.78 litre; Encap GREEN 3.78 litre for encapsulation work; Rhino Shield Gold 3.78 litre protector; and Odour Death super deodoriser with stabilised chlorine dioxide, 3.78 litre.

How to choose

Use the wool version on wool. It exists for a reason. Red Vanish Wool is formulated for protein fibre. The standard product is not a substitute on a wool rug, and the damage from getting this wrong is not recoverable.

Red stain removal is a heat-and-dwell process. These products work with controlled heat and time, not with scrubbing. Rushing a red spotter is the most common reason it appears not to work — and agitation on a heat-set stain can distort the pile permanently.

Gel where you need it to stay put. Hel-Gel holds position on upholstery, stair risers and vertical surfaces where a liquid spotter runs off before it has done anything.

Test on an inconspicuous area every time. Reducing agents can affect dye. On a patterned or dark carpet, five minutes of testing protects the whole job.

Chlorine dioxide treats the source, not the air. Odour Death addresses odour-causing material rather than masking it. Follow the label for ventilation and re-entry.
