Dry Soil Vacuum Tools & Attachments

Dry soil removal is the step that decides how much work the wet clean has to do. Most soil in a carpet is dry particulate, and anything vacuumed out first is soil that never has to be suspended, rinsed and recovered.

The same principle protects the machine. Debris that reaches the waste tank and the pump-out is debris that should have been filtered at the hose.

How to choose

Air-driven powerheads run off the vacuum you already have. No motor, no cord, no second power lead across the customer's floor. The trade-off is that they need genuine airflow — on a machine that is already marginal, they will underperform.

Match the head to the surface. The Rugrat is built for stairs and upholstery where a full-width head cannot sit flat. Using a floor head on stair treads misses the nosing every time.

Filter before the tank, not after. An inline waste filter catches debris at the hose. Once it is in the recovery tank it is on its way to the pump-out and the float switch.

The sock version is for the heavy jobs. Flood and post-construction work loads a filter fast. A sock is quicker to clear on site than a screen.

A relief valve protects the motor. When the tool blocks, a relief valve lets the motor keep breathing. It is the cheapest insurance on the vacuum side.
