Protimeter is the range most Australian building surveyors and restoration technicians standardise on, and the reason is repeatability. The same instrument, the same probe and a calibration check that can be demonstrated is what makes a moisture reading defensible rather than an opinion.

CCW carries the range end to end: survey kits, the meters on their own, every probe and lead, and the consumables that keep them reading true.

Instruments include the MMS3 Survey Kit, HygroMaster 2 and HygroMaster L with flooring and technician kits, the SurveyMaster and Aquant combinations in thermoformed cases, TimberMaster pin meters with and without temperature probe, and the Digital Mini. How to choose

Pin or pinless changes what you are measuring. A pin meter reads moisture content between two points at a known depth. A pinless meter reads a volume beneath the surface without marking it. Surveys usually need both — pinless to find the area, pins to quantify it.

Buy the kit if the case matters. The kit versions bundle the case, leads and hygrostick that get bought separately within a month anyway, and the thermoformed cases survive a work vehicle in a way a soft pouch does not.

Probes are meter-specific and job-specific. The EIFS probe, the baseboard blade and the heavy duty hammer electrode do different work. Check the BLD number against your instrument before ordering.

Calibration is the evidence. Calcheck gives you a documented check on the day. If a reading may end up in a report or a claim, that check is the difference between a measurement and an assertion.

Hygrosticks are consumables with a service life. They drift. Replacing them on a schedule is cheaper than defending a reading taken with a tired sensor.
