Razorback Portables
A portable is bought on three numbers — pressure, vacuum and tank capacity — and lived with on a fourth, which is whether parts arrive quickly. Razorback is CCW's own supported line, which is the difference between a week of downtime and a next-day part.
The range runs from a 3 gallon spotter to a 1600 psi machine with auto fill and pump-out.
It includes the SPOTX 3 gal spot extractor in standard and heated, with hoses and tools; the TractX 12 gal dual 5.7 inch 500 psi instant heat extractor; the Balboa 700; the Drago 1600 in standard and auto fill / auto pump-out; the Flood Mate Auto and Floodmaxx Auto for extraction work; 7.5 m and 15 m hose sets with wand supplied for new machines; and the Heat-Mate inline heater, Vac Mate vacuum booster box and portable auto fill upgrade.
How to choose
Pressure decides the work, vacuum decides the day. High pressure gets the soil into suspension; vacuum is what determines drying time and how many jobs fit in a day. Buying pressure without matching vacuum produces wet carpet.
Auto fill and auto pump-out are about job type, not luxury. On a large commercial or a flood job they remove the tank cycle entirely. On residential work they add cost you may not recover.
Inline heat is an upgrade path. The Heat-Mate lets a non-heated machine run hot without replacing it — worth costing against a heated model before committing.
Buy the hose set with the machine. The 7.5 m and 15 m sets here are supplied with a wand for new Razorback machines, which is cheaper than assembling the same thing later.
