Foam changes what chemistry can do on a vertical surface. A liquid applied to a wall, a ceiling or the underside of plant runs off before dwell time has done anything; the same product as foam stays where it was put and keeps working.

Fogging solves the opposite problem — treating a volume rather than a surface, in spaces where you cannot reach every face by hand.

The range covers Dema pump-up foamers in 5.0 litre and 10 litre; high volume portable foamers at 39 litre and portable units at 95 litre; high volume portable foggers at 39 litre in a telescopic three-nozzle configuration and a non-telescopic two-nozzle version; and a black poly wand with spray tip for the high volume portable foamer.

How to choose

Foam for surfaces, fog for volumes. If the target is a wall, a bin room or plant you can point at, foam gives dwell. If the target is the air and every surface in a sealed room, fogging is the method.

Size the unit to the walk, not the job. A 95 litre portable covers a large site without refilling, and it also has to be moved through the site. On multi-level or tight-access work the 39 litre finishes sooner.

Telescopic reach is about ceilings and plant. The three-nozzle telescopic fogger reaches height without a ladder. On single-level work that reach is cost you will not use.

Foam quality depends on the chemistry as much as the machine. Not every product foams. Check the label before assuming a concentrate will work in a foamer.

Fogging has re-entry obligations. Product selection, ventilation and occupant notification are part of the method. Follow the label for the chemical you are applying, not the machine.
