Carpet Wands
The wand is the only part of the system the operator holds for eight hours, and the only part where weight, balance and jet count are felt directly. Two machines with identical specifications will produce different results on the same carpet if one is running the wrong wand.
Everything a wand does comes down to three things: how much solution it lays down, how much of it comes back, and how tired the operator is by the last room.

How to choose
Match jet count and width to the machine, not the room. A 2 inch 6-jet wand lays down considerably more solution per pass than a 1.5 inch 2-jet. That is an advantage on a machine with the vacuum to recover it and a liability on one without — the result is wet carpet and a callback.
Titanium is chosen for fatigue, not strength. The weight difference is felt in the last hour of the day, not the first. On volume residential work it compounds; on occasional use it may not justify the cost.
Swivel or fixed changes how the head tracks. A swivel head follows the stroke and reduces wrist load around furniture. A fixed head gives more direct feedback on what the glide is doing. Neither is universally better.
Low profile is about access. A low profile head gets under a bed or a kickboard where a standard head will not. If your work is furnished residential, that decides more jobs than jet count does.
Check whether a glide is included. The PMF Mach wands and both Sapphire wands ship with a glide. Others do not, and a wand run without one drags and loses recovery.
