Lubricants

A truckmount blower is the most expensive component on the machine and the one most reliably destroyed by neglecting a cheap consumable. Blower oil is checked at intervals measured in hours, not seasons.

The rest of a cleaning machine asks less, but it asks regularly — cuffs, seals, latches and threads all last longer with the right lubricant and fail early with the wrong one.

How to choose

Use the oil the blower specifies, not a general oil. Positive displacement blowers run hot and at speed. Substituting a generic oil is a false economy measured against the cost of the blower.

Rubber grease for rubber, not general grease. Petroleum grease swells and perishes rubber seals and O-rings. MX6 is formulated for exactly the parts a general grease would destroy.

Check blower oil on hours, not on symptoms. By the time a blower sounds different, the damage is done. Put it on the service schedule with the filters.

Keep lubricant away from the solution line. Anything that reaches the carpet becomes a resoiling problem. Wipe down after servicing.
