Quick Connects & Valves
Quick connects are the fittings that decide how fast a van packs up and how often a solution line drips on a customer's floor. They are also the most frequently lost item in the trade.
This range covers the connection points on the solution side: quick connects in three sizes, in brass and stainless, in shut-off and flow-through, plus the ball valves that isolate a line.
It includes premium quick connects in 1/4 inch male and female; Safe Connect 1/4 inch in black brass; stainless 1/4 inch male and female; flo-thru brass in 1/4 inch male, M/F and 1/8 inch male; stainless 1/8 inch male and female flow-through; 3/8 inch male and female; a stainless 1/4 inch BSP ball valve rated to 1000 psi; the Sapphire 1/4 FP brass ball valve; a 1/4 inch solution T; and a HydraMaster garden hose inlet connector.
How to choose
Flow-through and shut-off are not interchangeable. A flow-through passes solution when disconnected on one side; a shut-off closes. Fitting the wrong one is a common cause of "no flow" after a repair — or of a line that drains onto the floor.
Check the thread form as well as the size. A 1/4 inch BSP and a 1/4 inch NPT will start and then bind. Where the product page states the form, order to that.
Brass or stainless is a chemistry decision. Brass suits general use at lower cost. Stainless is worth it where acidic rinses or oxidisers run through the line regularly.
Buy in pairs and keep spares. A connect is half of a coupling. Losing one strands the other, and both live outdoors on a wet floor all day.
