Swivels
A swivel lets a pressurised line rotate without twisting. On a hose reel it is what allows solution to flow while the reel is still wound; on a rotary tool it is what stops the hose winding itself into a knot.
Because they carry pressure while moving, they are a wear part rather than a fitting — and one that gives warning before it fails.
The range covers the high pressure and low pressure live reel swivel assemblies for solution reels; a swivel with flange for the CX and SX-15; and the repair kit covering NX101, NX105 and NX108 swivels.
How to choose
Match the swivel to the pressure, not the thread. High pressure and low pressure live reel assemblies are different parts. A low pressure swivel on a solution line fails under load, not gradually.
A live reel swivel is what makes a reel usable. Without one the reel has to be fully unwound before solution will flow — which defeats the reason for fitting a reel.
Weeping is the warning. A swivel that has started to seep will not recover. Rebuild it or replace it before it takes the hose fitting with it.
Rebuild where a kit exists. The NX101, NX105 and NX108 share a repair kit, which is a fraction of the cost of a new assembly.
Reels are in Reels, Shelves & Van Fit-Out, hose in Solution & Water Hoses, fittings in Quick Connects & Valves, and spinners in Rotary Tile Spinners.
