Concrete Cleaning Chemicals
Concrete is porous, alkaline and unforgiving of shortcuts. It takes up oil and traffic soil into the surface rather than holding it on top, which is why a pressure wash alone lifts the loose material and leaves the stain.
It is also the substrate most often damaged by the wrong chemistry. Acid on a polished or sealed slab is not a cleaning decision, it is a resurfacing bill.
The range covers cleaning and degreasing with HydraMaster HydraBoost CT 2.95 kg and GrungeSlayer 2.9 kg, Hydro-Force Viper Peroxiblast powder 3.4 kg and Viper Peroxibright CTG 3 litre, and Actichem Oxyboost Plus in 1 kg and 4.5 kg; grout and surface work with Actichem Tile and Grout Cream in 500 ml and 5 litre; and sealing with Actichem Pre-Seal 5 litre, Instaseal and Instagloss in 15 litre, and Solv Sealer Gold 5 litre.
How to choose
Establish what is on the slab before choosing anything. Bare, sealed, polished and burnished concrete respond differently to the same product. If you cannot tell, test an inconspicuous area and watch what the water does — a slab that darkens is porous.
Oxidising and solvent degreasers solve different stains. Peroxide-based products lift organic and traffic soil. Oil that has soaked in needs to be drawn back out, and that is a dwell-and-repeat process, not a single pass.
Seal only when the slab is genuinely dry. Sealer over residual moisture clouds and lifts. On a wet-cleaned floor that usually means the day after, not the same afternoon.
Pre-seal and topcoat are a system. Pre-Seal prepares porous substrate so the finish coat sits evenly rather than soaking in unevenly. Skipping it costs more in product than it saves.
Decide gloss level before you start. Instagloss and Solv Sealer Gold produce different finishes. Customers notice sheen far more than they notice cleanliness.
