Aeris Environmental
An air conditioning coil is a wet, dark, organically-loaded surface with air blowing across it into an occupied room. Cleaning it is straightforward; keeping it clean between services is the harder problem, and it is where most of the complaint calls come from.
The range covers the AerisGUARD bioactive multi-enzyme coil cleaner in 200 ml, AerisGuard heavy duty cleaner in 20 litre, and the Aeris AeriShield spray bottle in 1 litre.
How to choose
Enzyme and heavy duty do different work. An enzymatic cleaner breaks down organic build-up on a coil that is being maintained. The heavy duty cleaner is for a coil that has been neglected. Reaching for the strong product first is how thin aluminium fin gets damaged.
Follow the label on contact time and dilution. Fin is thin and reactive, and the space is enclosed. The label governs, not how bad the coil looks.
Contain the runoff. A head unit over carpet or joinery has nowhere for it to go. A bib kit is part of the method regardless of which product is used.
Buy the drum only if you use it. A 20 litre container is the right economics for a contractor doing volume HVAC work and the wrong purchase for occasional jobs.
Bibs and lances are in HVAC Cleaning Accessories, machines in Speed Clean, duct equipment in Duct Cleaning, and the wider chemistry in HVAC Cleaning Chemicals.
