The Ecozone Super ActivO is a mobile, high-output ozone generator for restoration professionals treating odour after fire and flood. Ecozone rates its output at 12,000 mg/h under ambient conditions, using a double dielectric barrier discharge design.
It is built for smoke, mould, mildew and sewage odour in unoccupied buildings, and for odour work in hotels, restaurants, function rooms and garbage areas.
Activation and Deactivation Cycles
Set the room size and treatment time on the keypad. The machine gives a one-minute warning with a flashing yellow light before generation starts, sounds a buzzer as it begins, and runs the treatment. At the end it runs a deactivation cycle that breaks down the residual ozone, then sounds again and the light goes off. Ecozone states the area can be re-occupied once the deactivation cycle is complete.
Ozone Safety
- Treat unoccupied areas only. Remove people, pets and plants before starting.
- Remove or protect natural rubber items, and be aware that ozone can damage electrical wire coatings, fabrics and artwork with susceptible dyes (US EPA, 1996).
- Post warning signs at every entry and secure the area for the whole treatment.
- Do not re-enter during treatment. Where you have an ozone monitor, check levels before re-occupying.

No. Ozone treats airborne and surface odour. Remove burnt, wet or contaminated material and clean first, or the odour returns.
