Groom Industries
Agitation is the step most often skipped and the one that does the most work. Prespray that has been groomed into the pile reaches the soil; prespray sitting on the tips is a wet carpet with a chemical smell.
Grooming at the end of the job matters just as much. A carpet that has been set in one direction dries faster, looks finished, and tells the customer the job was done properly before they have walked on it.
The range covers the Grandi Groom V2 carpet rake and carpet brush, both with handles, plus the replacement carpet brush head, the rake-to-brush conversion kit and the Grandi Groomer handle; the Handi Groom and Handi Brush for detail and edge work; the Perky Groom and Perky Brush with handles; and a spare handle that fits the grout brush and Perky groomer.
How to choose
Rake or brush is a pile-length decision. A rake works longer, denser pile and lifts crushed traffic lanes. A brush works shorter commercial pile and distributes prespray without pulling at the fibre. The conversion kit exists because most operators eventually need both.
Groom after prespray, not after rinse. The point is to move chemistry into the pile and give it dwell. Grooming a rinsed carpet is a finishing step, and it is a different pass.
Buy the replacement head, not the whole tool. The brush head wears out well before the handle does. Holding one spare head costs less than a second groomer.
Small tools do the edges. Handi and Perky groomers reach stairs, edges and upholstery where a full-width rake cannot. On residential work that is a real share of the job.
Presprays to work in are in Carpet Presprays, encapsulation chemistry in Encapsulation & Bonnet Cleaning, spotters in Spotting Chemicals, and fabric tools in Upholstery Tools & Detailers.
