Specifically designed for condenser coil cleaning and evaporator coil cleaning, the CoilJet replaces a too-powerful pressure washer — and the not powerful enough hand pump sprayer — to quickly clean coils without damage to sensitive fins, even microchannel coils.
The CoilJet produces 125 psi of coil washing power at about 2.2 litres per minute water flow that won't overwhelm condensate lines inside. This means you don't have to pull evaporator coils out to clean them.
Where it fits
The CoilJet is built for jobs where water and power are the problem: rooftop condensers, ceiling-space air handlers, packaged terminal units, refrigeration coils and wall-mounted split systems. It carries its own water, coil cleaner and battery, so there is no hose to run and no lead to find. SpeedClean rates one fill as enough for up to five 5-ton (about 17.6 kW) units.
It is not a pressure washer. At 125 psi and a little over 2 L/min it is gentle enough for fins and condensate drains; heavily fouled plant coils with thick fin packs may still need a higher-flow method.

Chemical dilution — valve setting
The chemical valve meters concentrate into the water stream. SpeedClean's settings (counter-clockwise to open):

Set the valve to the dilution on your coil cleaner's label, not the strongest setting.
Important — chemical compatibility
SpeedClean's manual says not to use acids or cleaners containing sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide in the CoilJet, and not to mix chemicals. The machine is designed for non-caustic alkaline coil cleaners; caustic products pit and degrade internal parts, especially if left standing. If a harsh cleaner has been used, flush the chemical tank, valve and pump with clean water straight away. Check the SDS of any cleaner before it goes in the tank, and ask SpeedClean or CCW if in doubt.
Operating the CoilJet (SpeedClean manual)
- Fill the water and chemical tanks. Close the chemical valve fully and remove the nozzle from the gun.
- Switch on and squeeze the trigger to prime the pump. If it will not prime, fill both tanks, stand the unit on a support and hold the gun below the pump until a steady flow appears.
- Open the chemical valve fully and trigger until chemical comes through, then set the valve to the dilution you need.
- Fit the nozzle and apply the solution evenly to the coil.
- Close the chemical valve. Let a foaming cleaner sit for about 5 minutes if possible.
- Rinse the coil with clean water.
- Switch off and relieve the pressure by squeezing the trigger in a safe direction.
The pump stops when the trigger is released, but the system stays pressurised while the switch is on. SpeedClean says not to leave it in auto shut-off for more than 10 minutes.
Choosing a nozzle
- Yellow 15 degree: the coil cleaning and rinsing nozzle. Start here on evaporators and any aluminium fin.
- Red pinpoint: SpeedClean supplies it for condensate tray clean-up. Keep it off delicate fins.
Care and storage
- Run clean water through the pump at the end of every job, and charge the battery after every use.
- Do not run the pump dry, spray the unit itself, or use water hotter than 60 °C.
- For storage longer than a week, drain both tanks and flush the pump and chemical valve with clean water. Keep the battery on its smart charger.
- After long storage a pump diaphragm can dry out: SpeedClean suggests filling the unit and letting it sit for 48 hours before calling for service.

SpeedClean's manual gives a one-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship, excluding accessories, unusual wear, abuse and accidental damage. Those are the US terms; contact CCW for warranty support on units bought from us.

Frequently asked questions
Will it damage microchannel coils?
SpeedClean designs the CoilJet to clean microchannel coils without damage at 125 psi. Keep the nozzle a sensible distance from the face and spray in line with the coil.
Will it flood the condensate line on an evaporator?
That is the point of the low flow. At about 2.2 L/min the rinse water should keep up with a clear drain. Clear a blocked drain first.
Which coil cleaners can I use?
Non-caustic alkaline coil cleaners. SpeedClean says no acids and nothing containing sodium or potassium hydroxide. Check the SDS before use.
Can I use warm water?
Yes, up to 60 °C. Hotter water can cause erratic pressure and damage the pump.
How many jobs per charge?
SpeedClean gives up to 1 hour of continuous spraying, and its website says up to 12 tanks per charge. Carry the charger, and consider a spare battery for full days.
Does it need mains power on site?
No. It runs from its 12 V battery. The charger plugs into mains power back at the van or workshop.
