Low tack is the point
This tape covers sensitive electronics and protects wall finishes while the coil is washed. It is low tack deliberately: standard packing tape or masking tape will lift paint, pull the printed legend off a control panel, or leave adhesive residue on a customer's wall that you then have to clean off.
Do not substitute. The saving on a roll of ordinary tape disappears the first time you take paint off a wall above an air conditioner.
Where to Use It
- Over the indoor unit's display and control board area, once the unit is isolated
- On the wall where the bib brackets and wall plates bear, to prevent scuffing
- Over wall-mounted controllers and nearby power points
Tape is a splash barrier, not waterproofing. Keep direct spray off electrical components regardless.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it in the bib kits already?
Yes. SpeedClean includes adhesive wrap or a roll of protective tape in its bib kits. This is the replacement roll.
How long can it stay on a wall?
Remove it at the end of the job. SpeedClean does not publish a maximum dwell time, and any adhesive left on paint for long periods is more likely to mark.
