How It Works
The patented Mini-Split Bib Kit XL makes it simple to clean large units in place and saves a lot of time. It attaches quickly to wide mini-split systems using special brackets, and the custom-designed plastic bib section creates a barrier against the wall and other surroundings. You can then clean coils, fan blades and more with pressurised cleaning systems, such as pump sprayers or the CoilJet Portable Coil Cleaning System.
The system is simple to use. Slide the brackets in behind the corners of the mini-split air handler. Attach the bib and protective wall plates and tighten. Then place the bottom of the bib funnel into a bucket. All coil cleaner, water and debris are funnelled into the bucket: no mess, and no fuss.

Check the Size Before You Order
The width figures on this listing did not agree, so here they are side by side:
- SpeedClean: fits units 45 to 60 in wide (about 114 to 152 cm).
- CCW's earlier listing: "up to 152 cm" in one place and "115 to 160 cm" in two others.
We have used SpeedClean's figure. If your unit is wider than 152 cm, talk to us before ordering. If it is 112 cm or less, the standard Mini-Split Bib Kit is the right kit.
Corrections to This Listing
- Bib material: the earlier text said "6 mm plastic". SpeedClean's figure is 6 mil — about 0.15 mm. A 6 mm sheet would be rigid; the bib is a flexible film.
- Drain line: the earlier text said "Includes 20 cm drain line" in one place and "2.4-metre hose" in another. SpeedClean lists an 8 ft (about 2.4 m) hose. The 20 cm figure has been removed.

Before You Wash
- Isolate the air conditioner at the switchboard or isolator before fitting the bib — SpeedClean's first step is to turn off the main power.
- Cover the unit's display, control board and any wall-mounted controller with the low tack tape. Do not use masking or packing tape on painted walls.
- Check the bib for holes and the drain spout for splits before you start. A leaking bib puts water down a customer's wall.
- Keep the bucket below the bib outlet so the drain hose runs downhill all the way.
- Coil cleaner and wash water go to the bucket. Dispose of it in line with the chemical's SDS and local trade waste rules, not into a stormwater drain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the standard replacement bib in the XL kit?
No. SpeedClean lists a separate XL bib (BXL-001). The MSB-01 is for the standard kit.
Will the XL also do small units?
SpeedClean lists the XL for units from 45 in. On smaller units the bib will not tension properly — use the standard kit.
Does it include a bucket?
No, not this listing. Any sound bucket that sits below the drain outlet will do.
Can I use a pump sprayer?
Yes. SpeedClean names pump sprayers and the CoilJet as suitable pressurised cleaners.
