Product Overview
Viper Peroxibright CTG is a peroxide-activated cleaner and brightener for concrete, tile and grout. An effervescent oxygenated solution carries a mixture of specialised surfactants and non-butyl solvents into every crevice, crack and pore to emulsify, dissolve and deflocculate stubborn soiling.
Brightening Without Acid or Chlorine
This is the reason to choose it. It brightens grout lines without harsh acids or chlorine bleaches, which can damage grout and the surrounding flooring.
It is also self-neutralising, so it does not need the neutralisation step that an acid product requires, and it cleans without leaving the watermarks or residue that other chemistries can.
Where grout is discoloured rather than mineral-scaled, this is the product. Where the problem is hard water deposits or efflorescence, that is Viper Renew (CH49GL) instead — and Renew is an acid, with all that follows.
Choosing Across the Viper Range
The soil decides the chemistry, and the pH direction decides the risk. Alkaline products lift greasy and organic soil; the acid product dissolves mineral deposits. They are not interchangeable.

Alkaline first. Most tile and grout soil is greasy and organic, and that is what the alkaline products are for. Reach for the acid only when what is left is mineral.
Standing Rules for Hard Surface Chemistry
- Pretest in an inconspicuous area, every job. Tile, grout and stone vary, and so does what has been done to them before.
- Never mix products. Acid and alkaline neutralise each other and waste both; acid mixed with chlorinated products can generate chlorine gas.
- Never let it dry on the surface. Dwell, then clean and extract while it is still wet.
- Rinse thoroughly. Residue left in grout attracts soil and the floor looks worse in a month than it did before you cleaned it.
- Ventilate, and keep children and pets out of the area during application and drying.
- Know your stone. Marble, travertine and limestone are calcareous and are attacked by acid. Ask before you spray.

Designed to work with rotary hard surface extractors such as the Hydro-Force SX-12 (AW104) and SX-15 (AW105), and usable with any hard surface brush or mop system. Apply with a pump-up sprayer — see the TCBS (AS16A) for solvent-bearing chemistry, or the AS14A for water-based and acid products.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need neutralising afterwards?
No. It is self-neutralising, which is one of its main advantages over acid brighteners.
Will it bleach or damage the grout?
It brightens without acids or chlorine bleach, which are what damage grout and surrounding materials. Pretest regardless.
Peroxibright or Peroxiblast?
Peroxibright cleans and brightens grout lines. Peroxiblast Powder (CH48A) is the alkaline degreaser for oils and greases on concrete.
Will it remove hard water staining?
No. Mineral deposits need an acid — see Viper Renew (CH49GL).
Can I use it with a mop?
Yes. It is designed to suit rotary extractors but works with any hard surface brush or mop system.

What We See in the Field
Grout that looks stained is often just soiled, and a brightener does what a customer thinks only a bleach or a colour seal can. Trying this before proposing a colour seal saves the customer money and saves you a much bigger job.
