The Hydro-Force SX-15 is a complete 15 inch rotary hard surface cleaning tool with its own handle. It is the standalone version of the SX-15, for operators who want a dedicated hard surface tool rather than a head on a modular wand.
Important — Standalone Tool, Not a Gekko Head
This is the complete tool. If you already run a Gekko Wand (AR51A) and want the SX-15 as a head for it, buy the Gekko SX-15 Tool Attachment (AR51S) instead. Same cleaning technology, different purchase.
How the SX-15 Works
- 15 inch cleaning path. The path is 25 percent wider than a 12 inch tool, so each pass covers more floor. Actual coverage rate depends on the surface, the soil load and the operator.
- Radial vacuum line. The vacuum path is shaped to draw air evenly around the head rather than pulling hardest at the port, which is what keeps recovery consistent across the full width.
- EZ-LOC boot change. Boots are a wearing part. This one changes without screws, posts or tools, which decides whether boots get replaced on schedule or run past their life.
- Toe-adjustable vacuum relief. Suction is adjusted with a foot while working, rather than stopping to reach a control.
- Low profile. It fits under toe kicks, which is where a taller tool leaves a visible unclean strip.
- Easy-access inline filter. Reachable without stripping the head.

Pressure in Practice
Around 1,000 psi is sufficient for tile and grout work. The 700 to 2,600 psi range is the tool's tolerance, not a target. If a floor is not coming up, dwell time and chemistry will do more than turning the pressure up, and high pressure on grout that has already failed simply removes it.

What It Runs On
Any truckmount or high-pressure portable extractor. On a low-pressure portable it will connect but will not deliver the result the tool was designed around.
Operating Advice
- Check the boots before each job. Worn boots lose the seal, and recovery falls off before anything looks visibly wrong.
- Clear the inline filter regularly.
- Set the vacuum relief with the toe control so the tool glides. Fighting a tool that has sucked down is slower and wears the operator out.
- Do corners and edges with a separate tool first, then take the open floor with this. A round spinner cannot finish an edge.

Boots and the inline filter decide how an SX-15 performs, and both are easy to leave alone because neither announces itself. A tool that is "not what it used to be" has usually had neither touched since it was bought.
