The Injectidry HP Silencer fits the main air hose of an Injectidry HP60 or HP-PLUS blower and takes some of the noise out of an overnight drying setup.
The Injectidry Silencer is made of ABS plastic and quiets the drying system by about 2 decibels. It actually takes some of the impeller noise out in addition to attenuating the air rush sound. The Silencer attaches to either the Main AIR IN or AIR OUT Hose on the HP60 and the HP-PLUS. Due to probable high heat output, the Silencer should be elevated from surfaces that could be damaged by heat.

Two decibels sounds small. It is not, in an occupied house
Cavity drying runs overnight, in bedrooms and hallways, in houses where people are trying to sleep. The complaint that ends a drying plan early is almost never about moisture readings — it is about noise. A homeowner who cannot sleep turns the equipment off, and then you are drying a wall that was dry for eight hours and wet again by morning.
The silencer takes some of the impeller noise out as well as attenuating the general sound, which changes the character of it — a lower, less intrusive note rather than simply a quieter whine.
Setting It Up
- Fit the Silencer to the Main AIR IN or AIR OUT hose, as Injectidry describe.
- Keep it off the floor. Injectidry's HP-PLUS manual says to use the hook-and-loop power cord strap to hold the Silencer up off surfaces that heat could damage.
- Keep it clear of timber flooring, vinyl, carpet and anything else heat-sensitive. The HP-PLUS manual also warns that hot air from the AIR OUT main hose can damage flooring materials.
- Check it again after the system has been running for a while — that is when it is hottest.
It does not replace the conversation
Tell the occupants what will run, how loud it will be and why it has to run overnight. Equipment that gets switched off is the most common cause of a drying job that takes twice as long as it should.

Does it fit Direct-It or Adaptidry?
Injectidry list it for the HP60 and HP-PLUS main hoses only. Direct-It and Adaptidry run on air movers, not the HP blower.
Why does it get hot?
It sits in the air stream from the HP blower, which runs hot. Injectidry describe "probable high heat output" and say to keep it elevated from anything heat could damage.
How much quieter will the job be?
Injectidry quote about 2 dB. Treat it as a help, not a cure — placement of the blower and a clear explanation to the occupants matter as much.
