SpeedClean's 2014 CJ-125 manual shows a 10 ft self-coiling hose (8940) in its parts breakdown; CCW's CJ-125 listing and this replacement are the 20 ft length. Hose bore, pressure rating and end-fitting thread are not published by SpeedClean.
Why self-coiling on this machine
Coil cleaning is done at height, in ceiling spaces and on rooftops, standing on a ladder or a plant deck. A hose that coils itself stays out from under your feet and does not hang down where it can catch. On a roof that is a safety feature, not a convenience.
Handle it warm
Self-coiling hose takes a set. Stretching it hard when cold, or leaving it stretched under load for long periods, permanently reduces the recoil. Let it take its own shape rather than dragging it to length.
Genuine or the 7 m kit?
CCW also sells a self-coiling hose kit, 7 m, which can be used as an extension or cut and clamped. It is not the genuine SpeedClean hose. Choose this hose for a straight like-for-like replacement.
Fitting and checks
- Switch off and relieve the pressure at the spray gun before disconnecting anything.
- Fit the new hose between the machine outlet and the gun, and tighten the connections.
- Prime with the nozzle removed, then check both ends for leaks with the gun closed. A leak on the pressure side will make the motor run on with the trigger released (SpeedClean troubleshooting).
Frequently asked questions
Is it the same hose that came on my CJ-125?
It is the SpeedClean 20 ft self-coiling hose CCW supplies on the CJ-125. Older machines may have shipped with the 10 ft hose shown in the 2014 manual — send us your serial number if you want to check.
Can I join two hoses for more reach?
We do not recommend it on a ladder or roof. Move the machine closer, or use an extension lance for reach.
Why has my hose stopped recoiling?
It has been stretched hard when cold or left extended under load. The recoil does not come back.
