Product Overview
This self-coiling hose is a suitable replacement for the GWT8940-20 SpeedClean self-coiling hose (2 to 20 ft).
It is 7 m long (23 ft) and comes with fittings (bush and clamp) to enable it to be fitted to a CoilJet CJ-125. That is about a metre more reach than the 20 ft (6 m) SpeedClean hose.
Two Ways to Use It
Both ends have fittings, allowing it to be used as an extension hose, or by cutting the fitting from one end and using the supplied clamp to fit it directly to your CoilJet.
- As an extension hose: use it as supplied, with the fittings on both ends.
- As a replacement hose: cut the fitting from one end, then fit that end to the CoilJet with the supplied bush and clamp.
Fitting It as a Replacement Hose
- Switch the CoilJet off and squeeze the gun trigger to release any pressure in the line.
- Remove the old hose from the machine.
- Cut the fitting from one end of the new hose with a sharp blade, keeping the cut square. A ragged cut is the usual cause of a weep at the clamp.
- Push the supplied bush fully into the cut end and secure the hose to the machine with the supplied clamp.
- Run the machine and check the joint for leaks at ground level before you take it up a ladder or onto a roof.
Why Self-Coiling on a Coil Cleaner
Coil cleaning is done at height, in ceiling spaces and on rooftops, standing on a ladder or a plant deck. A hose that coils itself stays out from under your feet and does not hang down where it can catch. On a roof that is a safety feature, not a convenience.
Care
Self-coiling hose takes a set. Stretching it hard when cold, or leaving it stretched under load for long periods, permanently reduces the recoil. Let it take its own shape rather than dragging it to length.

No. It is a CCW-supplied alternative to the SpeedClean hose. The genuine SpeedClean hose is the GWT8940-20.
Do I have to cut it?

Will it fit my CoilJet?

Why has my old hose stopped recoiling?
Self-coiling hose loses its recoil if it is stretched hard when cold or left stretched under load. That is wear, not a fault, and the fix is a new hose.
