Leather Master Leather Vital is a leather revitalising product used to improve the feel of the leather.

Where It Fits
Pigmented leather that has been cleaned many times, or has simply aged, can feel dry and harsh to the touch even when it looks clean. Leather Vital restores the surface feel. The other common job is motion furniture — recliners and lift chairs where leather panels rub against each other and squeak. A thin coat of Leather Vital on the contact surfaces is Leather Master's answer to that complaint.
Important: Leather Type
Leather Master's Australian directions list Leather Vital for pigmented leather only, and say not to use it on bycast, vinyl or imitation leather. Uniters (Leather Master, US) describe it more broadly — for all leathers except suede and nubuck, and as replenishing moisture and softening stiff or aged leather. The two descriptions do not agree. CCW follows the Australian directions: use it on pigmented leather, keep it off suede, nubuck, bycast, vinyl and imitation leather, and ask us before using it on aniline or semi-aniline leather.
How to Apply
- Clean the leather first with Leather Master Soft Cleaner and let it dry.
- Test on a hidden area: apply a little to a clean white cloth, rub it gently on a concealed spot, allow 30 minutes to dry (or use a hair dryer held about 30 cm away), then check for colour transfer or any change to the finish.
- Shake the bottle well.
- Apply a small amount to a clean white cloth and work it over the leather in gentle circular motions, leaving a thin, even coat.
- For squeaking on motion furniture, treat the panels where the leather rubs together.

Is Leather Vital a leather conditioner?
Not in the Australian directions. It improves the surface feel, or "hand", of the leather. It is not sold as a conditioning or softening product.
Will it stop my client's recliner squeaking?
That is one of its listed uses: it stops the squeaking that occurs when leather rubs against leather in motion furniture. Clean the contact areas first, then apply a thin coat.
Can I use it on bycast or vinyl?
