Cleanstar Polystar 15 Inch White Cotton Pad

A heavy-duty 100% cotton pad (bonnet) for the Cleanstar Polystar 15 inch orbital floor machine. These cotton bonnets give great absorbency.

They are well suited to drying carpet as the last cleaning step, or can be used as a primary cleaning bonnet. Use with the POLYSTAR 15-inch Orbital Floor Polisher & Cleaner.

Cotton for Absorbency

Heavy cotton absorbs more water than microfibre, which is what makes it the choice as a final drying pass after extraction. Taking surface moisture out at the end of the job shortens drying time measurably and is the single easiest way to reduce callbacks about damp carpet.

Two Ways to Use It

• Final drying pass after extraction — run the cotton pad over the carpet once extraction is finished to lift remaining surface moisture.
• Primary cleaning bonnet — for bonnet (low-moisture) maintenance cleaning, with the pad and carpet prepared to your chemical supplier's directions.

Bonnet cleaning is a maintenance method: it cleans the top of the pile and does not replace restorative hot water extraction.

Which Polystar Machine Does It Fit?

CCW lists this pad for the Polystar 15 inch orbital scrubber and floor polisher (PS-015), and its Cleanstar part number sits in the PS-015 parts range. Fit on the 13 inch Polystar (PS-001) has not been confirmed — ask us before ordering for that machine.

Operating Advice

• Fit the pad flat and centred on the pad holder with the machine unplugged, and check it sits level before starting.
• On a drying pass, change to a dry pad as soon as the face stops picking up moisture. A wet pad spreads water rather than removing it.
• Vacuum first when bonnet cleaning — dry soil loads the pad quickly.

Care

Cleanstar does not publish a washing specification for this pad. As a general rule, rinse soil and chemical residue out after each job and let the pad dry fully before storing, so it does not sour in the van.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cotton or microfibre?

Cotton is more absorbent and suits the final drying pass. The microfibre alternative gives more abrasion for interim cleaning: Polystar microfibre polisher pad.

Will it fit the 13 inch Polystar?

Not confirmed. CCW lists it for the 15 inch PS-015. Tell us your machine and we will check.

I run a rotary machine, not a Polystar. What should I use?

Choose a bonnet sized to your machine's pad driver. For 17 inch rotary machines see the Tuway full cotton bonnet, 43 cm.
