The Cleanstar Polystar 15 inch orbital floor polisher and cleaner (Model: PS-015) is a multi-purpose floor machine. It is designed to strip, wash, buff, sand, refinish and dry clean hard floor surfaces and carpets.
It is the larger of the two Polystar machines CCW stocks: a 15 inch (38 cm) working width and a 250–275 W induction motor, for more open floor than the 13 inch model covers in a pass.

How an Orbital Machine Differs From a Rotary
The Polystar moves its brush or pad holder in an orbital pattern at 150 rpm rather than spinning it like a conventional rotary floor machine. It does not pull sideways the way a rotary does, which makes it easier to control in rooms with furniture and for operators who do not use a floor machine every day.

For stairs and tight detail work, the Polystar 13 inch (PS-001) is the easier machine to handle. Bonnet cleaning carpet is a maintenance method: it cleans the top of the pile and complements hot water extraction rather than replacing it.

Cleanstar's PS-015 manual lists the standard accessories as a carpet brush (black bristle), a floor brush (green and white bristle), the pad holder (PS-015-03), a white pad (PS-015-05) and a blue microfibre cloth pad (PS-015-08). Quote these numbers when ordering replacements. Cleanstar also lists an optional watering tank and basket set (PS-13-01); CCW does not list it online, so ask us if you need one.
A note on the microfibre pad: CCW's white cotton pad is Cleanstar PS-015-05, which matches the PS-015 manual. CCW's microfibre pad is listed as Cleanstar PS-08, while the PS-015 manual gives PS-015-08 for this machine and the 13 inch PS-001 manual gives PS-08 for that machine. Distributors list the PS-08 as a 15 inch (380 mm) pad. CCW has not yet confirmed with Cleanstar whether PS-08 and PS-015-08 are the same pad, so ask us before ordering if you need an exact match.
Fitting the Pad Holder or Brush
- Switch off and unplug the machine.
- Place the pad holder or brush flat on the floor, stand the machine on it and push the chassis down firmly with both hands.
- Check the pad or brush sits level before you start.
Operating Advice
- Check that the supply voltage matches the machine's data plate. The machine must be earthed.
- Fit the pad holder or brush before starting, and make sure the switch is off before plugging in.
- Keep the handle at its highest point and do not let it drop.
- Wear shoes, and keep hair, loose clothing and fingers clear of openings and moving parts.
- Indoor use only. Do not leave the machine plugged in and unattended.
- Remove the pad holder or brush when the machine is not in use.
Maintenance
- Remove the brushes or pads after use and clean them with a wet cloth.
- Replace worn pads, pad holders and brushes.
- Cleanstar's manual calls for periodic light oil on the motor bearings.
Warranty
Cleanstar's PS-015 instruction manual states a 12-month (1 year) parts and labour warranty against faulty or defective parts. It excludes normal wear, misuse, improper installation, repairs by unauthorised people, use outside Australia, water or liquid damage, and consumable items. Confirm current terms with CCW at purchase.

Can it clean carpet?
Yes, as low-moisture bonnet cleaning with a microfibre or cotton pad. The carpet can be walked on almost straight away. It is a maintenance clean of the top of the pile, not a substitute for hot water extraction.
What is the difference between the 13 inch and 15 inch Polystar?
Both run at 150 rpm with a 250–275 W induction motor according to Cleanstar. The 15 inch (PS-015) has a 38 cm working width and weighs 16.3 kg net; the 13 inch (PS-001) has a 33 cm working diameter and weighs 14.8 kg. Choose the 15 inch for more open floor, the 13 inch for stairs and small areas.
Which pads fit it?
It suits 14 and 15 inch polisher pads and bonnets. CCW stocks the Polystar 15 inch white cotton pad and microfibre polisher pad listed below; see the note on the microfibre pad part number above.
Are stripping pads included?
No. The machine comes with a hard brush, soft brush, pad holder, microfibre pad and white pad. Talk to us about the right pad and chemical for the floor you are stripping.
Can I fit a solution tank?
Cleanstar lists a watering tank and basket set (PS-13-01) as an optional accessory. CCW does not list it online; ask us about availability.
