Overview
Swing check valve, 3/4 inch FPT, listed by HydraMaster as Valve, 3/4" FPT Swing Check.
It prevents waste water flowing back from the pump-out line into the recovery tank. A failed check valve lets the line drain back, which is why an APO that primed correctly yesterday will not prime today.

Important — on the Boxxer 318HP and TITAN 575HP this is part of the AWDS kit, not the base machine. A machine without automatic wastewater disposal will not have one fitted.

Frequently asked questions
My APO primed yesterday and will not prime today. Is it the check valve?
It is the first thing to check. A failed check valve lets the line drain back overnight, so the pump starts dry.
Can it be cleaned rather than replaced?
Sometimes. Debris holding the flap open will clear, but a worn or scored seat will not seal again.
Which way round does it fit?
Flow arrow towards the discharge. Fitted backwards it will block the line completely.
