Why clear sheeting
Opaque containment turns a room into a box. Clear sheeting lets light through, lets occupants and other trades see what is happening, and lets your technicians see out — which matters for safety when equipment is running and cables are on the floor.
It also reads better to a customer. A translucent barrier looks like a controlled work area; black plastic looks like something is being hidden.
Choosing the weight
At 100 micron this is the heavier of the two we stock. It handles better in a draught, resists tearing at the pole plates, and survives being taken down and rehung. On a job running over several days, or where a barrier is under negative pressure and pulling hard, the heavier sheet is the one.
The lighter option is the 80 micron sheet in 10 m x 4 m.
Long roll, less waste
A 100 m roll at 2 m wide suits an operator building containment regularly — cut to the opening rather than trimming a pre-sized sheet and binning the offcut.
Working With a 2 m Width
At 2 m wide, one drop covers a barrier up to 2 m high. For a full-height barrier in a standard 2.4–2.7 m room, either hang the sheet vertically in 2 m wide drops and join them, or overlap two horizontal runs. Joins are where barriers leak: overlap generously, put the join over a pole or rail where you can, and seal it. Where you need a single sheet to ceiling height, the 10 m x 4 m sheet avoids the join.
Disposal
Sheeting used on mould, sewage, fire or other contaminated jobs is contaminated waste. Bag it inside the work area and dispose of it with the job waste rather than reusing it.

Is it fire-retardant?
Not stated for this product. If a site, builder or scope requires fire-retardant sheeting, ask us before the job.
Will it work with ZipWall poles?
Yes — the head plates grip the sheet between the head and the non-skid plate, and Tight-Seal rails press it against the ceiling.
Can I use it as floor protection?
Yes, as a drop sheet. It is slippery underfoot on hard floors; for walkways use a proper floor protection product, and put a tacky mat at the exit.
80 or 100 micron?
100 micron for multi-day jobs, draughts and negative pressure; 80 micron for lighter, shorter jobs.
