Instead of the usual two-step process of applying cleaning solution and then extracting, you can do it all at the same time. The SOS PRO with Flush Kit has two flushing ports on the underside of the extraction head, which allows solution to deeply saturate carpet fibres for better soil break down.

SOS describe the SOS PRO as the professional's tool of choice for water damage, flood restoration, and odour control. Use the SOS PRO to perform sub surface extraction and remove excess water from carpet and padding without having to remove it. Or, use the SOS PRO to evacuate black water floods and to remove water weight and more easily carry out for disposal.

How It Is Used
- Connect the vacuum hose to the flange and your solution line to the waist-high quick disconnect.
- Place the head over the contaminated area, stand on the foot rest and open the flow valve.
- Flush and extract together. The SOS manual says to hold the tool in each position for 5 to 30 seconds.
- Move to the next position without overlapping, close the valve, and finish with extraction only until the flow in the clear top runs clean.
Before You Connect It — Pressure and Temperature
SOS do not publish a maximum solution pressure or temperature for the flush kit, or the quick disconnect type. Portables and truckmounts run very different pressures and temperatures. Tell us your machine before you connect it and we will confirm the fitting and a sensible pressure. Stay with the tool while the solution line is open — "walk away" means hands free, not unattended.
Where It Fits on a Job
Sub-surface flushing reaches urine that has gone through the backing into the underlay, which surface cleaning does not. It is not a substitute for removing underlay that is saturated with Category 3 water or cannot be dried — that is a restoration decision, not a cleaning one. For contamination, use a urine treatment such as Bridgepoint Bio-Release or Bridgepoint Urine Neutraliser in line with its label.
Frequently Asked Questions
Flush Kit or the standard SOS PRO?
The standard SOS PRO extracts only — you apply solution separately. The Flush Kit version lets you flush and extract in one pass. If most of your sub-surface work is urine, the Flush Kit saves a step.
Will it work with a portable?
SOS say the PRO works with carpet extractors and truckmounts. Recovery depends on your vacuum — a single-motor portable will be slower than a truckmount.
Is there a replacement handle?
CCW lists an SOS Floor Tool Replacement Handle. The Flush Kit handle carries the valve and quick disconnect, so confirm with us which handle you need.
