Metal or plastic?
The metal head takes more clamping force and survives being over-tightened, which is what eventually breaks a plastic jaw. If the clamp is being used at the end of a long pole where the operator cannot feel how hard they are working it, metal is the one to buy.
The lighter option is the plastic head.
