Hard boot or brush ring?
The Teflon hard ring gives a better seal and less drag on smooth flat surfaces — polished concrete, honed stone, large-format tile. The brush ring conforms better to profiled tile and pronounced grout lines. Match the ring to the floor rather than running one for everything.
The 15 inch equivalent is the TH-15 hard boot ring.

Operating advice
TurboForce's manual says to replace the boot when it is excessively worn, and to use the tool's vacuum relief slider on smooth floors or with high-suction machines. A hard ring on a smooth floor can seal tightly enough to make the head hard to push; open the relief slider rather than lifting the head.
Warranty note
The TurboForce TH-40 owner's manual gives the tool a one-year warranty from purchase for the original purchaser, excluding the boot (90 days), vacuum hoses, lines and fittings, and the swivel if its factory seal has been broken. Terms for the TH-15 and Mini are not published; ask us if a tool is still inside its warranty period before you order parts.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the boot only warranted for 90 days?
It is the part in constant contact with the floor, so TurboForce treats it as a wear item. Expect to replace it as part of normal running costs.
Can I run the hard ring on textured tile?
It will work, but it rides on the high points and loses seal in the low ones. The brush ring is the better choice on profiled surfaces.
