Protectors only work if they are to hand
Tabs and blocks go under furniture legs to keep wood stain and metal rust off damp carpet. They are cheap, they are the difference between a finished job and a claim, and they are almost always skipped when the box has spilled into the bottom of the van and the technician is two rooms in.
