Overview
Spring clamp for holding a 38 mm (1½ inch) tube. It screws to a shelf, a wall panel or the inside of a van door, and the tool clips in and out by hand.
Sold singly. Most fit-outs use several.
What it holds
Anything built on a 38 mm tube, which covers most of the hand tools in a truckmount van:
- CMP Wand 1.5 inch × 12 inch 2 Jet S-Bend
- CMP Wand 1.5 inch × 12 inch 4 Jet Low Profile
- HydraMaster EVOLUTION Wand 1.5 inch 2 Jet
- PMF Mach 12 Titanium Wand 1.5 inch × 12 inch 4 Jet
- Vpro Titanium Non-swivel Wand 12 inch × 1.5 inch 2 Jet
Stair tools and upholstery tools on the same 38 mm tube clip in equally well.
Fitting
Measure the tube, not the tool. The clamp is sized on the tube diameter, not on what the tool does. A 38 mm wand tube fits; a 50 mm vacuum hose does not.
Mount it where the tool can be pulled straight out rather than twisted free — a clamp behind a hose reel gets used once and then ignored. Check what is behind the panel before you drill, and use a fixing suited to the material: ply, checkerplate and a proprietary lining system each want a different answer.
Two clamps spaced along a long wand hold it far more securely than one in the middle, and stop it swinging on corners.
Frequently asked questions
Will it hold a 50 mm vacuum hose?
No. It is sized for a 38 mm tube.
How many do I need?
One per tool as a minimum, two for a full-length wand. Most van fit-outs use several.
Are fixings included?
No, and deliberately so — the right screw depends entirely on what you are mounting to. Ask us if you are unsure what suits your van lining.
Can it be mounted horizontally?
Yes. The clip holds by spring tension on the tube, so orientation is up to you and the layout of the van.
