Pads, Blocks or Skidders — Three Different Jobs
These are routinely bought in place of one another. They do not do the same thing.

Pads and blocks protect. Skidders move. Using a skidder as a moisture barrier will not work, and standing a wet leg on a pad you meant to lift it with will not either.
Why It Matters More Than It Looks
Furniture put back onto damp carpet is the most common avoidable damage claim in carpet cleaning. Timber legs wick moisture and lift their finish, metal ferrules rust and mark, and a stained castor leaves a ring that appears days later — long after you have left, and squarely attributed to you.
The barrier costs a few cents. The claim costs a callback, a repair and a customer.

Choose 4 inch for general furniture and 3 inch where the leg or castor is small and a larger pad would show. The 5,000 box is the same 4 inch pad in bulk.

The manufacturer does not publish the pad thickness or a load rating. Rather than estimate them, we have left them out.
Operating Advice
- Place them as furniture goes back, not before. A pad under a leg on dry carpet does nothing.
- Use them under every leg, not just the ones you think are at risk. It is the one you skipped that marks.
- Leave them in place until the carpet is dry. Removing them at the end of the job defeats the purpose.
- Tell the customer they are there and that they can be thrown away once the carpet is dry — otherwise they get vacuumed up or left for weeks.
