Leather Master Protection Cream is a water-based protector that places an invisible, breathable barrier between you and your leather. This barrier protects your leather from oil, water, and alcohol-based stains.
This is the 1 L pack. A 250 ml pack is also available.
- Unprotected leather is highly absorbent. Leather is hydrophilic - it has an affinity for water. As a result, leather draws liquids deep into its pores causing stains that can be nearly impossible to remove.
- Leather Master Protection Cream is hydrophobic - it repels water and helps prevent staining. Protection Cream also protects the leather from other damaging liquids, such as the oils and fatty acids found in perspiration.
- Protection plays a vital role in correctly caring for leather. Nothing can provide 100% protection against stains, but stains are always easier to remove from protected leather.
- Suitable for aniline and pigmented leather.
Important: Not for Nubuck or Suede
Leather Master state Protection Cream is not for nubuck or suede. For those leathers use Nubuck Eco Protector.
Where It Fits in a Leather Job
Protection Cream is the last step after cleaning. Clean first with Leather Master Soft Cleaner (or Strong Cleaner for heavier soiling), let the leather dry, then protect. Leaving a protected surface behind is what makes the next clean easier for the client.
Instructions
- Apply the Leather Master Protection Cream to a soft cloth and wipe a thin layer evenly over your furniture. Pay particular attention to those areas that come into contact with the body, such as the headrests, armrests, and seats.
- A light coat is all that is required. Allow about 30 minutes for the Leather Protection Cream to dry before using your furniture.
Aniline leather doesn’t have a protective topcoat, so it is best to apply two layers of Protection Cream to all the contact areas. If you have white or very light coloured leather furniture, we also recommend you apply two layers of Leather Protection Cream to the contact areas. Always allow the first layer to dry before applying a second layer. A hair drier can be used to speed up the drying process, but take care not to overheat or burn the leather.
Leather Protection Cream will need to be re-applied every 3-6 months. Before re-applying Leather Protection Cream thoroughly clean your furniture with Leather Soft Cleaner.
Test First
Test on a hidden area before treating the piece, particularly on aniline and light-coloured leather. Wipe a little on, let it dry and check for any change in colour or finish. If you see a change, stop and contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why two coats on aniline?
Aniline leather has no protective topcoat, so it absorbs more. A second thin coat on the contact areas gives better cover. Let the first coat dry before applying the second.
Will it change the look or feel of the leather?
It is designed to be invisible and breathable. Always test on a hidden area first.
Does it condition the leather?
Its job is protection. On squeaky or dry-feeling pigmented leather see Leather Master Leather Vital.
1 L or 250 ml?
The 1 L suits contractors protecting several lounges a week. The 250 ml suits occasional jobs or leaving a bottle with the client.
Can it go straight on over dirty leather?
No. Clean thoroughly first, or the protector seals soil in.
