Panels are awkward, and that is the point of the bag
Drying panels are large, flat and easily damaged at the edges. Carried loose they get bent, and a panel that will not sit flat will not seal — which means the negative pressure goes into the room instead of the cavity.
It also keeps a used panel out of the cab. Panels come off a job carrying whatever the cavity held.
For the fittings and small parts, the rolling duffel is the companion bag.
