Overview
High performance air movement in a small package. The Velo delivers high velocity air movement, low amp draw and portability. Dri-Eaz describes it as combining these features with easy cleaning, versatile application and U.S.-made quality, and as one of the most effective airmovers it has built.
This is the 230 V, single-speed Velo (F504-230V). US listings for the current 115 V Velo (part 125470) show a two-speed model with different airflow and amp figures; those do not apply to this unit.

Where It Fits in the Job
The Velo is a low-profile, centrifugal airmover for structural drying: under cabinets, across floors, up walls and on stairs. Its low amp draw means more units per circuit than larger snail-shell dryers, which matters on jobs with limited power.
Airmovers speed evaporation; they do not remove the moisture from the building. Pair them with dehumidification such as the Dri-Eaz LGR 7000XLi or BD2500.
Important: Electrical Guidance
The Dri-Eaz owner's manual for the F504/F505-230V says:
- The unit must be earthed. Do not use it with an extension cord.
- Connect only to an outlet protected by a ground fault (residual current) device – in Australia, an RCD-protected outlet.
- Do not use it with any solid-state speed control device.
- Do not operate it with a damaged power cord, and never touch the grills while it is running.
The "18 units per 10 amp circuit" figure is CCW's listing, based on 0.53 A per unit. The 230 V manual does not describe a daisy-chain outlet. Check your unit before planning to chain it, and never exceed the rating of the circuit, outlet or lead. Ask us if you are unsure.

Where sources differ: the Dri-Eaz 230 V manual lists four operating positions (horizontal, vertical and two edge positions for wall drying) against five on CCW's listing, and gives the largest dimension as 61 cm against CCW's 58.4 cm. Width, depth, weight, airflow, amps and cord length agree.
Operating Advice
- Run it on a stable surface in the position that suits the surface you are drying: flat for floors, upright for walls and ceilings, on edge for wall drying.
- Keep the intake clear. Do not stand it where it can draw in loose debris, insulation or plastic sheeting.
- Stack units for transport and storage only when they are switched off and unplugged.
Maintenance
- Unplug the unit. Remove the four screws from the top and the six fasteners from the bottom to reach the impeller (manual).
- Clean the impeller assembly with a soft cloth. Do not apply liquids to the impeller assembly (manual).
- Wipe the housing and grills between jobs, and after Category 2 or 3 water jobs clean and disinfect the outside before it goes back on the truck.
- Check the cord and plug before every job.
HEPA Filtration Option
The Velo HEPA Filter Add-On Kit (F518) fits over the Velo intake so the unit filters dust while it moves air – for general air scrubbing, not as a substitute for a rated HEPA air scrubber. Replacement filters: HEPA element (F519) and prefilters, 20 pack (F520).

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the two-speed Velo I see on US websites?
No. This is the 230 V single-speed Velo, 1190 m³/h at 0.53 A. The current US Velo is a 115 V two-speed model with different figures.
How many can I run on one circuit?
At 0.53 A each, CCW lists up to 18 per 10 A circuit. Plan around the actual circuit, outlet and lead ratings on site and the other loads on that circuit, and follow the manual: earthed, RCD-protected outlet, no extension cord.
Can I use a speed controller to slow it down?
No. Dri-Eaz warns against using any solid-state speed control device with this fan.
Can it be used as an air scrubber?
With the F518 HEPA kit fitted it can do general air scrubbing. It is not a negative air machine; use a dedicated air scrubber where the job calls for one.
How do I clean the impeller?
Unplug, remove the top screws and bottom fasteners, lift out the impeller assembly and wipe it with a soft cloth. No liquids on the impeller.
