The Hygro-i2 probe does not connect to a meter on its own – it needs the electronic interface cable, and the cable must match your meter's connector:

Frequently asked questions
How many probes do I need for a job?
ASTM F2170 requires three test locations for the first 100 m² of floor area and one more for each additional 100 m². Because all locations must equilibrate at the same time, most contractors buy enough probes to cover a typical floor in one visit rather than returning to move probes between holes.
Are the probes reusable?
Yes. The probe is retrieved from the sleeve with the insertion and retrieval tool, checked against the calibration salt, and used again. The hole liner is the consumable, not the probe – which is what makes the cost per test low.
How long must the probe stay in the hole?
ASTM F2170 requires the hole to equilibrate before the reading is taken. Skipping the equilibration step is the most common cause of a result that later proves wrong. Drill, line, cap, wait, then read.
Can the same probe be used for hood testing?
Yes. The Hygro-i2 probe is used for in-situ testing in a sleeved hole and for surface hood testing with the Hygrohood. In-situ and hood methods are different tests and are specified for different purposes – check which one your specification calls for.
How do I know a probe is still accurate?
Check it against the 75% calibration check salt. Seal it in the chamber, allow it to stabilise, and confirm it reads 75% RH.
