Non-destructive, and that is the point
AS 1884-2012 is the Australian standard for resilient floor coverings, and the surface hood method it describes does not require drilling into the slab. On a finished floor, in a tenanted building, or where the slab is post-tensioned and drilling is not an option, that matters a great deal.
It is a different test from in-situ ASTM F2170, which measures humidity at depth inside the slab. Neither replaces the other. Check which one your flooring specification actually calls for — installing to the wrong test is the kind of mistake that only surfaces once the floor lifts.
For in-situ ASTM F2170 testing you need hole liners, probes and the accessory box instead.
Tell us which meter you run and we will confirm the right accessory before you order.
