Tramex Fik Flooring Inspection Kit
Complete Moisture Meter Kit For Measuring Moisture Content, Relative Humidity And Dew-Point Of Concrete Floors And Slabs For Flooring
Kit contents
- Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 – CMEX5
- 1 x Hygro-i2 relative humidity probe
- Heavy-duty pin-type wood probe
- Tramex Meters app for Android and iOS (phone not included)
With Accompanying Bluetooth App
The Tramex FIK is the complete kit for instant, non-destructive quantitative moisture testing of concrete and wood flooring, as well as RH and dew point testing of concrete and ambient conditions.
The Tramex CMEX5 digital moisture meter allows for non-destructive quantitative testing of concrete using Gravimetric testing as a baseline and comparative testing per ASTM F2659.
Plug-in reusable Tramex Hygro-i2 RH probes allow for performing ASTM F2170 for relative humidity readings in concrete slabs.
The Tramex heavy-duty wood pin-probe measures the moisture content of wood.
An infrared surface thermometer gives surface temperature and dew point conditions used in conjunction with the CMEX5 hygrometer.
The Tramex Flooring Inspector Kit comes with an extension handle in a heavy duty Tramex travel case.
Bluetooth connectivity to the Tramex Meters App allows for visualization of readings and data reporting to mobile devices, to GeoTag test results, create, save and share photos, reports and charts, as well as see your meter screen on your phone when extending to hard to reach places.

| FZK – Inspection EZ Kit | CMEX5 + 1 Hygro-i2 RH probe |
| FIK – Inspection Kit | CMEX5 + 1 Hygro-i2 RH probe + heavy-duty pin-type wood probe |
| FTK – Installer Technicians Kit | CME5 + DL-RHTX datalogger + contact temperature probe + extension handle |
The FZK and FIK are built around the digital CMEX5 for inspectors; the FIK adds the pin probe for timber. The FTK is built differently – the analogue CME5 with a datalogger, aimed at installers monitoring a slab and ambient conditions over a job rather than producing one-off inspection readings.
Before you order – in-situ RH testing needs more than the probe
The Tramex data sheet lists one Hygro-i2 relative humidity probe in this kit. A Hygro-i2 probe cannot connect to a meter without the RHIE2B interface cable, and an ASTM F2170 test also needs 19 mm hole liners for each test hole. Neither is listed in the kit contents.
ASTM F2170 also requires three test locations for the first 100 m² and one for each additional 100 m², so one probe is a starting point rather than a full test set. The AP-F2170-B accessory pack covers all of it. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure what you already have.

Frequently asked questions
FIK or FZK?
The FIK adds the heavy-duty pin-type wood probe, so it covers timber moisture content as well as concrete. If you inspect timber floors and subfloors as well as slabs, that is the difference worth paying for.
Is a phone included?
No. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.
Can I buy the components separately?
Yes – every instrument in the kit is stocked individually. The kit is generally better value and removes the risk of ordering an accessory with the wrong connector.
Contact Carpet Cleaners Warehouse if you want help choosing between these kits for the work you take on.
