Which V800-EZ kit do I need?
Diagnose by where the water is coming from. It saves buying the wrong kit.
- Leaking from the jets when the trigger is released — the seal has failed. Use the seal and spring kit.
- Leaking from the stem, around the trigger — use the stem and O-ring kit.
- Leaking from the stem and the nut is worn or seized — use the stem and nut kit, which includes the brass valve nut.
- Leaking around the cap — use the cap and O-ring kit.

Important — old style or new style?
PMF replaced the V800 with the V800-EZ. The two look similar and the repair kits are not interchangeable. Before ordering any V800 repair part, establish which valve you have. The V800-EZ has the easy-squeeze trigger; the older V800 has the heavier pull.
PMF sells separate repair kits for the original V800 and the V800-EZ. Distributors list the V800-EZ seal kit (PMF R800-EZ) as also fitting the older V800 valve, but the V800-EZ stem and nut kit (PMF R800SN-EZ) is for the V800-EZ only. Check which valve you have before ordering.

If the nut comes off cleanly and its thread is sound, the stem and O-ring kit is enough. If the nut is damaged, this kit saves a second order.
