Angled blade electrode for baseboards, mouldings and trim
Two 5 inch blades bent to a 35 degree angle, Teflon coated except for the last 1/2 inch at the tips. The angle is the whole point — it lets you get a reading behind a skirting board or under a sill plate without removing anything.

- Blades 5 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide (127 mm x 32 mm), bent to 35 degrees

Why it matters in restoration
Water tracks along the bottom of a wall and sits behind the skirting, which is exactly where a pin meter pressed against the face of the board will not find it. The angled blades reach into that junction. Finding it early is the difference between drying a wall and coming back to a mould claim.
The Teflon coating means the reading comes from the bare tips, so you are measuring where the blade ends up rather than everything it slid past.
Frequently asked questions
Will it mark the timber?
Blades slide into the joint rather than piercing the face, so it is far less invasive than pins on finished trim.
What if I need a straight blade?
The 19-E has straight 5 inch blades and suits paper, board and books.
Can it read behind tiles or stone skirting?
Only where there is a joint the blade can enter. On hard finishes a non-invasive scanning meter is the better first step, then confirm with pins or blades where you can.
