For joining 2.5inch Vac hose with 2Inch Vach hose AW5GG2.5R
A plain, stepped aluminium tube: one end sized for 2.5 inch vacuum hose, the other for 2 inch. It lets you run a long 2.5 inch line from the machine and finish with 2 inch hose or a 2 inch tool.

Where the reducer belongs in the run
Vacuum performance is set by the smallest diameter in the line and by total length. Run the long section in 2.5 inch and step down close to the tool, and you keep most of the run at the larger bore where the airflow is won. Step down at the machine and you have a 2 inch system with an expensive 2.5 inch hose attached.
Aluminium rather than plastic matters here — a reducer sits at a joint that gets stood on, dropped and dragged through doorways, and a cracked reducer leaks air you will never hear over the machine.
Fitting advice
- Check the fit into your own hose ends or cuffs before the job. Vacuum hose and cuff bores vary between brands, so a plain tube can be firm in one hose and loose in another.
- A joint that leaks air costs recovery at the wand. Feel for a draw at the joint with the machine running.
- Keep the joint off finished floors and carpet where you can. Aluminium can mark light-coloured surfaces if it is dragged.

Does it swivel?
No. It is a fixed tube. If hose twist is a problem on long runs, look at the Mytee Cuff-Lynx swivel reducer.
Will it join 2 inch to 1.5 inch?
No. This part is 2.5 inch to 2 inch only.
Where should it go in the line?
Close to the tool, so most of the run stays at 2.5 inch.
