One product, one application, one hour: that is how ProRestore Products sum up ODORx Un-Duz-It Unleashed for urine stains and odours. ProRestore describe it as breakthrough technology and a one-of-a-kind formulation that removes odours from urine, faeces and wet animals, and wipes out the staining that pet urine leaves behind.

It is used neat for heavy urine contamination and diluted 1:1 for light soiling and odour control. The treated area is saturated, left wet for one hour, then deep extracted with cold or warm tap water.

What It Does

• Removes staining from pet urine.
• Removes odours from urine, faeces and wet animals.
• Works through the carpet into the padding and underlayment, provided the product actually reaches them.

Legend Brands' label describes an all-in-one formulation that combines oxidisers with enzymes and odour encapsulants. The directions require the area to stay wet for the full dwell so that the urine stain is completely oxidised. Neither the February 2025 Safety Data Sheet nor the 2019 ingredients disclosure names the oxidiser; the disclosure lists a bacterial enzyme complex among the ingredients.

Where to Use It

Use it on virtually any surface:

• Carpet and upholstery. The US label lists wool among suitable fibres.
• Hard porous surfaces, e.g. concrete, wood, plywood, natural stones, grout, quarry tile and bricks.

Pretest for colourfastness in an inconspicuous area before treating a visible spot. The label says the product is not for use in ventilating systems.

Directions: Heavy Urine Soils

1. Thoroughly saturate the affected area, making sure to effectively wet the underlayment, whether wood, concrete, or padding.
2. Allow to dwell for 1 hour. The affected area must stay wet throughout for the urine stain to be completely oxidised. The longer the dwell time, the better the results.
3. Deep extract using cold or warm tap water. Depending on air humidity, use a carpet fan to dry the area.

Directions: Light Urine Soils and Odour

1. Dilute with one part of water (1:1 dilution) and apply as above. It can also be applied topically with a spray bottle for controlling urine odours.

Getting a Reliable Result

• Find the full extent first. Urine spreads wider in the underlay than it shows on the face of the carpet. A UV light shows where to treat.
• Use enough product to reach everywhere the urine went. A surface spray on a spot that has soaked into the underlay treats the carpet face only.
• Keep it wet for the full hour. If the area starts to dry, re-wet it. The label is clear that the area must stay wet throughout.
• Extract thoroughly and dry the area. Leaving the carpet and underlay wet for longer than needed creates its own odour problem.
• Where underlay or subfloor is heavily contaminated, removing and replacing it is often the more reliable fix. Talk to the customer before promising a result on old, repeated contamination.

Important: Do Not Mix

NOTICE: AVOID CONTACT WITH OXIDIZERS, REDUCING AGENTS, BLEACH, AND QUATERNARY AMMONIUM COMPOUNDS

The label also says not to mix Un-Duz-It Unleashed with, or use it in conjunction with, any other product. Do not pre-treat with a bleach or quat-based product and do not add a disinfectant to the mix. If a job needs another chemical step, complete it separately and extract between steps.

Safety

• The Safety Data Sheet (US GHS format, revised 6 February 2025) states the product is not classified as hazardous under GHS criteria.
• Wear safety glasses with side shields and suitable protective clothing (SDS section 8). Ensure adequate ventilation in confined areas and do not breathe spray mist.
• Eyes: rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
• Transport: not regulated (DOT, IMDG and IATA).
• The SDS lists the product as complying with the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (AIIC).

Please note the documents do not fully agree. An earlier US label for Un-Duz-It Unleashed carried the statement "Causes serious eye damage" and listed diethanolamine, and the current SDS still gives an HMIS health rating of 3. The February 2025 SDS records a composition change. Treat eye protection as mandatory, not optional. The SDS on file is a US document; CCW is requesting an Australian SDS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it on wool carpet?

The US label lists carpet and upholstery including wool. Pretest for colourfastness first, and do not let the product dry on the fibre before extraction.

Do I have to leave it for the full hour?

Yes. The directions call for a one-hour dwell with the area kept wet throughout, and say that longer dwell gives better results. Extracting early is the most common reason a treatment only half works.

Should I use it neat or diluted?

Neat for heavy urine soils. Diluted 1:1 with water for light urine soils and odour, including topical spray application for odour control.

Can I use it with a disinfectant or sanitiser?

Not in the same application. The label warns against contact with oxidisers, reducing agents, bleach and quaternary ammonium compounds, and says not to mix it with or use it in conjunction with any other product.

Will it fix urine that has soaked into the subfloor?

The label lists concrete, wood and plywood, so it can be applied to the subfloor. It has to reach the contamination and stay wet for the full hour. On heavy, repeated contamination, replacing the affected underlay is often more reliable than treating it.

Is it hazardous?

The February 2025 US SDS does not classify it as hazardous, but an earlier label carried a serious eye damage warning. Wear eye protection and gloves and read the SDS before use.
