Important — Match the Pressure, Not Just the Fitting
CCW stocks more than one Aquatec 230 V demand pump and they are not interchangeable. Fitting a higher-pressure pump to a machine built around a lower-pressure one will over-pressure the solution line, the jets and the fittings; fitting a lower-pressure pump will leave the machine underperforming.

Demand Pumps and Dry Running
A demand pump starts when the pressure drops and stops when it recovers, which is what makes it right for intermittent spray work. It also means the pump will keep trying to run if the tank empties — and running dry is what destroys the seals.
Watch the tank, and if a pump has started cycling rapidly without the trigger being used, you have a leak or a failing pressure switch rather than a pump fault.
Installation and Service Guidance
From Aquatec's operational and installation guidelines for the DDP series:
- Fit an in-line sediment filter (100 mesh) on the inlet to keep debris out of the pump chambers.
- Use flexible tubing with the correct pressure rating and avoid sharp bends; use 90° elbow fittings where the line has to turn.
- The pump will prime only if all pressure is relieved from the outlet port.
- Limit rapid on/off cycling to no more than 6 times per minute.
- Do not operate in freezing conditions.
- The pressure switch set screw should not be adjusted more than one turn without consulting the factory.
- Consult the factory before pumping fluids other than water. Do not use with flammable or hazardous fluids.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I fit this in place of a 120 psi pump?
Not without checking every component downstream. The solution line, jets and fittings must all be rated for 220 psi. Contact CCW with the machine model first.
The pump cycles on and off by itself. Do I need a new pump?
Usually not. Look for a leak first, then the pressure switch. Both cause rapid cycling and are cheaper than a pump.
Is the pressure switch available separately?
Yes. The 220 psi pressure switch is a separate serviceable part.
