Heavy duty means it survives site use
The lightweight BLD5079 extension probe does the same job in a more delicate package. The BLD5060 is the one to carry if the probe lives in a van and gets used on masonry and structural timber rather than on finished surfaces.
Keep the cap on
The cap protects the pins and the operator. Pins carried uncapped bend, and bent pins read low — telling you a substrate is drier than it is.
