Why clear sheeting
Opaque containment turns a room into a box. Clear sheeting lets light through, lets occupants and other trades see what is happening, and lets your technicians see out — which matters for safety when equipment is running and cables are on the floor.
It also reads better to a customer. A translucent barrier looks like a controlled work area; black plastic looks like something is being hidden.
Choosing the weight
At 80 micron this is the lighter sheet — easier to handle single-handed and quicker to hang, which suits a barrier that goes up and comes down the same day. For multi-day containment, or a barrier under strong negative pressure, the heavier 100 micron sheet holds up better.
Pre-sized rather than off a roll
A 10 m x 4 m sheet covers a typical room opening with enough to spare for the pole plates and a skirt at the floor. Leave that skirt — a barrier cut flush to the floor lifts and breaks its seal every time someone walks past.
