Restores your Velo HEPA Attachment Kit (F518) to maximum efficiency. Replacing your filters regularly will help to maintain the filtration efficiency of your Velo HEPA Kit. For use in general air scrubbing applications. Change HEPA filter when airflow is noticeably reduced. One filter per pack.
When to Change It
- When airflow through the kit is noticeably reduced (Dri-Eaz).
- After every job where hazardous contaminants may be present, together with the prefilter (Dri-Eaz).
- If the element is torn, wet, crushed or no longer seals on the frame.
Keep a fresh prefilter (F520) on it. The prefilter takes the coarse dust and is much cheaper to change.
Fitting
- Switch off and unplug the Velo, and move it to where you can bag the old filter.
- Undo the wingnut, lift off the top and remove the prefilter.
- Lift the old HEPA element off the frame and bag it straight away.
- Vacuum and damp-wipe the top plate and wireframe, and let them dry.
- Slide the new element down over the frame, centred over the air intake, fit a new prefilter, refit the top and tighten the wingnut without over-tightening.
Special Instructions
- When using your Velo or Velo Pro HEPA Attachment for conditions where dangerous contaminants may be present, both the HEPA filter (F519) and the Prefilter (F520) should be replaced after each job to help prevent cross-contamination.
- Before installing new filters, vacuum, and damp-wipe top plate and wireframe according to current ANSI/IICRC standards for remediation.
- Remove filters and clean the unit before removing it from the containment area to avoid cross-contamination.
- Allow the unit to dry before installing clean filters.
Important: General Air Scrubbing Only
The Velo HEPA kit is sold by Dri-Eaz for general in-room air scrubbing. Dri-Eaz publishes no efficiency rating or test standard for the Velo HEPA filter, and a Velo is not a negative air machine. Where a job specification calls for a HEPA air scrubber, use a purpose-built unit from our Air Scrubbers range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this include a prefilter?
No. It is the HEPA element only. Prefilters are sold in a 20 pack (F520).
Can I vacuum the HEPA element and reuse it?
Dri-Eaz's instruction is to replace it; they give no cleaning procedure. Vacuuming or blowing out pleated HEPA media can damage it.
Will it fit a Dri-Eaz air scrubber?
No. It is made for the Velo HEPA kit only.
What efficiency is it rated to?
Dri-Eaz does not publish an efficiency figure or test standard for this filter. If a job needs a documented HEPA rating, use a dedicated air scrubber.
